Staff Mobility For Training

General Information

Mobility for staff training provides an opportunity to receive education in any of the program countries for any staff employed in a Turkish higher education institution which has ECHE. Within the scope of this activity, it is possible for the person to receive several trainings (such as on the job training, observation process) to improve his/her skills about his/her current job. Conference participations are not supported within the scope of this activity.

Staff mobility for teaching/training can last from 2 days to 2 months excluding travel times. In any case, a training-oriented activity should include at least 2 days of training on a weekly or shorter stay.

What are the duties of the participating organizations?

Organizations which participate in the mobility have the following roles and duties:

  • Sender institution: Responsible for selecting and sending abroad students and staff. This task includes grant payments, preparation for mobility, monitoring and recognition.
  • Host institution: Responsible for accepting incoming students/staff, and recommending them training/internship or activity program.

Within the scope of the mobility for staff training, it is also possible for staff employed in a higher education institution with ECHE, to go to and receive training at a higher education institution or an enterprise which have ECHE. The enterprise abroad in which the training will be received can be a training center, research center, higher education institution (having ECHE is not compulsory) or another organization which fits the definition of an enterprise. Within this framework, an appropriate enterprise is any private or public institution/organization and a venture engaging in all kinds of economic activity including social economics regardless of their size, legal status and economic sector in which they operate. Staff training is a fulltime activity, and the grant payment is made for the period of fulltime training.
